Yuga Labs is bringing new NFTs to the Bitcoin blockchain, introducing a collection called TwelveFold on Feb. 28. The collection is a limited edition of 300 generative pieces “inscribed on satoshis” on the Bitcoin network.

Yuga Labs will release a series of artistic crypto collectibles on Bitcoin’s Ordinals protocol, according to an announcement from the company on Feb. 27. The collection is titled TwelveFold and will feature 300 pieces of generative art — that is, images that have been created through the use of algorithms. Each image in the TwelveFold collection is designed around a 12-by-12 grid in reference to the commonly used base-12 timekeeping system — and in reference to the fact that Bitcoin Ordinals are identified by the time that they are minted. Yuga Labs did not announce a specific time or date for the auction. Instead, it said that it will announce the auction within 24 hours of the event. (cryptoslate)

Esports player Kyle “Mongraal” Jackson has sold his winning “Dookey Dash” key NFT to billionaire entrepreneur Adam Weitsman for 1,000 ETH, or $1.63 million, the 18-year-old gamer announced Monday. Mongraal had previously listed the key NFT for sale for 3,333 ETH, which is equivalent to $5.43 million.

Yuga Labs said Monday that it’s planning to release an NFT collection minted on the Bitcoin-based Ordinals protocol, which has steadily grown in popularity since its launch last month.

A group of NFT enthusiasts are trying to buy the winning key from Yuga Labs’ endless runner game Dookey Dash and have placed an eye-watering $1.1 million bid on the asset.

Beeple has collaborated with Yuga Labs on several occasions. In November 2021, Beeple created a series of Bored Ape Yacht Club-themed NFTs called "Bored Ape Kennel Club" (BAKC).

It appears the logo of the Yuga Labs-owned Bored Ape Kennel Club (BAKC) NFT collection was used without a license or the permission of its artist. First noticed by an eagle-eyed Twitter user on Friday, the likeness was then acknowledged by both the image’s original creator, Easy Drawing Tutorial, and Yuga Labs co-founder Greg Solano (“Gargamel” before his identity was revealed one year ago.)
