Bitizen Wallet: New users have one more choice when it comes to Web3 wallets

Cointime Official

In the Web3 era, cryptocurrencies and blockchain technology are leading the revolution in the fields of finance and digital assets. As a crucial component in this domain, the security, usability, and functionality of wallets have become essential. Against this backdrop, Bitizen Wallet has emerged as a truly comprehensive Web3 wallet. This article will introduce the main features of Bitizen Wallet, including security, ease of use, privacy protection, multi-chain support, and the advantage of not requiring mnemonic phrases. Bitizen is a next-generation non-custodial multi-chain cryptocurrency/Web3 wallet that does not require mnemonic phrases or private keys. It provides top-level security, intuitive design, resistance to censorship, privacy protection, and multi-chain compatibility.

In summary, Bitizen is a brand-new Web3 wallet that incorporates the latest security technology and design principles, providing users with a secure, simple, and intuitive cryptocurrency management tool.

Introduction:

Bitizen is a Web3 wallet that is non-custodial, resistant to censorship, and protects privacy across multiple chains. It does not require private keys or mnemonic phrases. Designed to offer the highest level of security for both beginners and experienced users, Bitizen fulfills all the requirements of the cryptocurrency industry. It is a genuine Web3 wallet—secure, simple, user-friendly, resistant to censorship, privacy-oriented, supports multiple chains, and is compatible with all major blockchains.

With its unique features, we believe Bitizen will become a new force in the Web3 landscape.

Safety

The Bitizen wallet has implemented one of the most secure technologies in the field of cryptography called Secure Multi-Party Computation (MPC), providing institutional-grade security for ordinary users. Through the MPC protocol, it eliminates any risk of being attacked by hackers as it replaces the critical vulnerabilities of traditional hot and cold wallets: private keys and mnemonic phrases. Since the Bitizen wallet does not require private keys and mnemonic phrases, there are no single points of failure, making it even more secure than hardware wallets.

Users never have to learn what private keys and mnemonic phrases are because they have never existed in Bitizen. Instead, Bitizen employs other secure methods for wallet creation, backup, and recovery, making it practically impervious to hacker attacks. Furthermore, we only store the minimum amount of information, and all user data is encrypted with the users' own keys, rendering this information useless to anyone attempting to steal it.

Bitizen does not store users' funds nor can it access them, granting users complete control over their assets and enabling resistance to censorship.

Bitizen offers a lightweight and intuitive design, similar to any Web2 product, allowing even those without blockchain experience to easily set up a wallet in less than a minute.

The entire process is as quick and simple as opening a social media account or installing a new app.

Bitizen supports 3FA security authentication. After installing the Bitizen application on their mobile phone, users can verify their identity through facial biometrics and add email and personal cloud storage such as iCloud, Google Drive, or Dropbox. If any level of 3FA is unavailable, Bitizen wallet can quickly regain access using alternative options.

Resisting censorship, Bitizen utilizes the MPC transaction signing process, which requires at least two parties to jointly calculate the signature of a transaction using their key shares.

When a user sets up a new Bitizen wallet, independent and encrypted key shares are generated on both the user's mobile phone and the Bitizen server. Another key share is generated for the user's secondary devices such as computers, iPads, or additional mobile phones.

At any time, users can choose whether to sign transactions using the Bitizen server or connect their secondary devices and sign transactions jointly without relying on the Bitizen server.

Adding secondary devices to the Bitizen wallet enables the non-custodial mode, providing users with complete independence and the ability to resist scrutiny from the Bitizen server or any other third party.

Private data stored on the Bitizen server is fully encrypted with the user's own key for each user. If the data is stolen or leaked, encryption renders it useless to any third party.

The unique features of the Bitizen wallet make it an outstanding Web3 wallet solution. It employs secure multiparty computation (MPC) technology, eliminating the vulnerabilities of private keys and mnemonic phrases in traditional wallets, and offering institutional-level security. Users can easily set up a wallet without needing to learn complex encryption knowledge. Furthermore, it supports 3FA security authentication, safeguarding users' identity and assets. By utilizing the multiparty computation transaction signing process, users can independently choose how to sign transactions, resist censorship, and maintain complete control over their assets. Bitizen's design allows users to manage their Web3 assets in a simple and intuitive manner, ensuring both their security and privacy.

Privacy and Security

In the Bitizen wallet, we firmly believe that users have the right to retain their personal information, and user data privacy must be respected.

Bitizen wallet does not require KYC from users. The collection of user data is strictly limited, and any information collected in the Bitizen wallet is stored encrypted, even Bitizen team members cannot view it.

Decryption of each user's data can only be done using the independent decryption key stored in the user's personal cloud storage, which only the user themselves can access.

Under no circumstances can the Bitizen team view, copy, or transfer user information.

Even if certain data is leaked to the public or obtained by any third party, encryption renders it unusable, ensuring complete privacy and security.

Multi-Chain Support

Bitizen supports all major blockchains and tokens, including NFTs, making it a fully functional Web3 wallet.

It is compatible with all Web3 Dapps, allowing users to store any tokens and enjoy various Web3 services such as DeFi, GameFi, SocialFi, and NFTs.

Users can also easily and seamlessly switch between different blockchains and instantly exchange any tokens on any chain through the built-in DEX aggregator.

Keyless and Mnemonic-Free

By leveraging Threshold Signature Scheme (TSS) and Multi-Party Computation (MPC) technologies, the mnemonic (or parts of it) is never created, stored, or shared at any point during key generation and transaction signing. Through the use of Distributed Key Generation (DKG) protocol, the traditional single mnemonic is replaced with two or three mathematically derived secret shares created independently, which are securely used for collaborative transaction signing in the distributed signature protocol, eliminating the risks of mnemonic theft and single point of failure.

Mnemonics are highly memorable. Bitizen wallet provides a secure, user-friendly, and intuitive backup and recovery solution that allows for safe wallet recovery, eliminating the hassle, insecurity, and anxiety of managing mnemonics and storing physical recovery cards.

Additionally, "keyless" wallet means:

During the entire process of creating a keyless wallet, private keys are not created or stored anytime, anywhere.

There is no involvement of private keys during transaction signing, and private keys are never reconstructed at any time.

Unlike traditional wallets that rely on private key signing, which poses theft risks, keyless wallets can securely co-sign transactions in a distributed manner with multiple keys from different parties, without exposing the shared keys to each other or any other third party.

Conclusion

As a truly all-in-one Web3 wallet, Bitizen wallet offers exceptional functionality and security through its advantages of security, ease of use, privacy protection, multi-chain support, and mnemonic-free approach. It emphasizes the protection of user privacy and employs innovative security technologies to ensure the confidentiality and integrity of user data. Simultaneously, the multi-chain support and compatibility with Web3 Dapps allow users to effortlessly manage and trade various digital assets. The backup and recovery mechanism without mnemonics further simplifies the user experience, providing greater convenience. With the popularity of blockchain and cryptocurrency, Bitizen wallet will become a trusted and preferred choice for many new users.
