April 23 (Cointime) - Twitter has announced a Subscriptions program, which allows platform users to pay to subscribe to other users.

This program is designed for creators who want to offer exclusive content and direct interaction with their followers. Once a user subscribes to someone's offering, they will receive access to exclusive content and perks that are included in the subscription.

Creators who participate in the Subscriptions program may receive a share of the revenue that Twitter earns from people who pay to subscribe to them. There are several features available in Subscriptions, including exclusive tweets, subscriber badges, a subscribers tab, and the ability to host subscriber-only Spaces.

At this time, people in the US, Canada, New Zealand, Australia, Japan, EU, UK, and EEA who meet the eligibility requirements can apply to participate in the Subscriptions program.  Subscriptions purchases are currently available globally on Twitter for iOS, Android and web.
