OpenSea, a popular NFT marketplace, has implemented new measures to safeguard buyers from unintentionally purchasing items. The measures aim to address situations where an item appears to be in a valid state during an offer but gets flagged as stolen or experiences a change in attributes later on.
To combat this issue, OpenSea now verifies an item's state before accepting an offer. This check is made possible by updates in SeaPort 1.4. If an undesired state change is detected, the transaction will be rejected.
