Meet Cryptonauts–The YouTuber With Cointime

Cointime Official

Trust us or not, the web3 world will be much less riveting without the participation of the web3-centric Youtuber. The Cointime team had a special opportunity to have a comprehensive Q&A session with the Youtuber Cryptonauts, check out this article to know more about him.

Q1. Please ask the founder to introduce the vision of your channel (product), the expected market demand, whether there is financing demand, business model, road map, etc

A: The vision of the Cryptonauts YouTube Channel is to educate the world about blockchain and cryptocurrencies in an easy-to-digest manner. We are also building out a bunch of fun things, such as a mini-game, documentaries, and special content pieces. We have turned down all funding offers in the past, due to the fact that we are looking for strong partners, not just a check.

Q2. Introduction of core team members.

A:Nathan is the host and co-founder of the channel, he’s been working in blockchain since 2016. With a film industry background, he has worked in multiple Super Bowl commercials such as Sprite with Lebron James, Foot Locker with Kevin Hart, and Pizza Hut.

Philip is our producer and co-founder of the channel. He’s our behind the camera guy. He runs everything operationally and gets all the videos done. Also film industry background.

Gio is our director and creator of the channel. With movies on Netflix and Amazon, his vision for Cryptonauts has always been grand. USC film grad, with multiple movies and productions under his belt. He is the creative one, and always has the freshest ideas.

Q3. How did you come up with this channel? How is the topic of each issue born, and how do team members work together?

A: The first video we ever shot was in a park in Los Angeles. We used a stick on the floor and nailed it to a wooden plate, to create a monopod. It wasn’t even a tripod LOL. We used the iPhone for external sound audio, and synced it to the DSLR. We also animated everything in after effects, to create awesome 2d animations for the audience. We all work together to make each video as good as possible. Think of each one like a music album, which can live forever on the channel.

Q4. Please introduce some daily operation experiences to increase fans, what advice is to the person who wants to become an influencer?

A: If you want to become an influencer, you have to find your niche. You can’t just “be” an influencer. You must provide value to the community, whether that is entertainment, education, or expertise.

Q5. What is the ultimate goal of the project? What are your short-term goals for the next 1-3 years?

A: We want to tell the best stories in the web3 space. We recently finished our CoinGecko intern video, which has over 90,000 views. We will be shooting with Animoca and sandbox next, later this month. Our goal is to follow around industry leaders and create amazing web3 content — something different from everyone else.

Q6. We witnessed a slew of industry meltdowns in 2022, what's your attitude towards them and how was your 2022?

A:2022 was fine, we’ve been in the space since 2016, so this isn’t our first bear market. The market is cyclical, and the important thing is not timing the market, but your time in the market.

Q7. As an industry influencer, how do you see the development of the blockchain industry in 2023, what are the trends of innovation and entrepreneurship you are optimistic about, and what risks should practitioners pay attention to?

A: I’m hearing a lot about modular blockchains and infrastructure projects, which makes me quite happy. I think we need to have the rails built for the web3 industry. Otherwise, it won’t mature. Think about the internet. The internet took a few decades to mature.

Q8. What is the difficult part to be an influencer? How have you enjoyed the process so far?

A: The difficult part is constantly and consistently beating your old content. Coming up with evergreen content, and understanding that good things take time. For example, our Ethereum 2.0 video didn’t do well. We shot it over a year ago almost. But during the merge, the search traffic spiked, and we got thousands of views overnight. You just never know.

Q9. What have you been working on mainly except for the Youtuber part?

A: These days I’m building an app, as well as working deeply with projects we like about how we can engineer viral campaigns and ideas. A lot of my friends back in Los Angeles have “broke” the internet in the past, with virality and amazing posts. It’s important to understand how things pick up steam to get ahead of the curve.

Q10. Any more behind-the-scenes stories you'd like to share with us?

A: It doesn’t matter what camera you use, it’s the story that’s most important. We want to tell your story. Please reach out to us on social media if you want to get involved!
