The Hong Kong Web3.0 Association, comprising industry heavyweights such as LegCo member Wu Kit Chong, China Mobile HK Chairman Li Feng, and HKSTP LegCo member Charles Mok, will be officially established on April 11.
The association aims to promote the sustainable development of Web3.0 in Hong Kong from the perspective of the city's status as an international financial center and innovation hub, provide policy direction to the Hong Kong government, and attract industry elites to the city.
In addition to the association, Hong Kong will also set up the Web3Hub Fund to support more overseas Web3.0 companies to settle in the city. The Hong Kong government has been actively promoting the development of Web3.0, and recently emphasized the need for appropriate regulation and promotion of development to ensure steady progress.
This week, at least four large-scale seminars or carnival events related to Web3.0, digital economy, and fintech are expected to have over 10,000 physical participants.
