Burger King in Paris Welcomes Crypto Payments for Instpower Powerbanks Via Alchemy Pay and Binance Pay

Cointime Official

At restaurants in Paris, the global fast-food chain Burger King, has installed the popular Instpower power bank rental machines that accept crypto payments facilitated by crypto payment providers, Alchemy Pay and Binance Pay. Instpower is a world-leading power bank-charging service, and has teamed up with Binance Pay and Alchemy Pay to let its users pay with cryptocurrency for power bank devices at more than 14,000 locations worldwide. Burger King in Paris marks the latest big step forward for the firm and for the acceptance of cryptocurrency for real-world goods and services.

Yann Phu, CEO of Flash Development, the distributor responsible for achieving deployment of Instpower machines across Europe is delighted by the inclusion of the machines in Paris: “This collaboration with Burger King in Paris has taken us to the next level with our operations in Europe. Instpower’s machines will enable customers to power their devices while on the move. In Asia these powerbanks are used widely but in Europe the market is only just beginning to embrace them. By having Alchemy Pay helping users to pay with crypto via Binance Pay, we are bringing cutting edge payment options to Europeans.”

Due to its borderless nature, crypto is the ideal payment method for Instpower’s shared power banks that are commonly used by travellers to charge their devices while on-the-go at hotels, restaurants, bars and airports.

In 2019, Alchemy Pay launched the world’s first hybrid merchant payment acceptance system that enabled in-store and online merchants to receive cryptocurrency payments from customers. By 2021, the fiat-crypto payment acceptance system had touchpoints with over 2 million merchants in 70+ regions. In 2021, Alchemy Pay’s network partnered with Binance to help facilitate its Binance Pay payment method.
