Nvidia will launch "exclusive chip" RTX 4090D to the Chinese market, with about 10% fewer processor cores

Chip manufacturer NVIDIA will officially launch the GeForce RTX 4090 D gaming graphics card in the Chinese market. Previously, high-end gaming graphics cards affected by the US government's new chip export regulations included the RTX 4090. The GeForce RTX 4090 D is a product specifically launched by NVIDIA to respond to the latest export control measures of the US government, and an NVIDIA spokesperson stated in an email that "the design of the GeForce RTX 4090 D complies with the US government's export control and will only be sold in China."

According to NVIDIA's official website, the CUDA core count of the RTX 4090 D has been reduced from 16,384 to around 14,592, a decrease of about 10%; the GPU core base frequency has been increased from 2.23GHz to 2.28GHz; the memory is 24GB 384bit GDDR6X; the total power consumption of the graphics card is 425W, and the power consumption for regular gaming is 302W. In terms of performance, NVIDIA claims that the power consumption of the graphics card is close to 75% of the RTX 3090 Ti. In addition, this product uses the NVIDIA Ada Lovelace architecture and supports NVIDIA DLSS 3, which can be used for 3D rendering, video editing, and graphic design, with a starting price of 12,999 yuan and will be gradually launched from January 2024.
