Datachain has received a grant from the Interchain Foundation to upgrade the functionality of IBC-Solidity, the Solidity execution of the IBC protocol that links high-usage blockchains globally. The upgrade will increase safety and reduce trust assumptions on Ethereum and EVM-adaptable blockchains, as well as Enterprise Ethereum. Datachain will use the funding to improve BEEFY/GRANDPA light client backing, gas effectiveness and readability, generic authentication functions, compliance with the commitment path, easing of contract size limitations, and the addition of verifyNonMembership backing. The Interchain Foundation is a Swiss non-profit organization dedicated to advancing decentralized software frameworks and developing the interchain, a network of autonomous blockchains connected by the Interchain stack.
