Gemini is reportedly set to launch perpetual futures products for international customers, following the trend of exchanges focusing on the derivatives market. However, it should be noted that in the US, retail traders are not allowed to trade perpetual futures. The move comes as the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) has filed a lawsuit against Binance over alleged violations of derivatives laws in the country. Gemini is also facing charges from the Securities and Exchange Commission over the unregistered offering and sale of crypto asset securities through Gemini Earn. Coinbase is also reportedly launching platforms for international users while facing scrutiny from regulators.
