June 29 (Cointime) - Former Goldman Sachs executive Craig Broderick has been appointed to the board of directors of Circle Internet Financial, the issuer of the USDC stablecoin. Broderick, who spent over three decades at Goldman Sachs, including as chief risk officer, will bring his extensive experience in risk management to Circle.

The appointment is part of Circle's efforts to strengthen its risk management and regulatory compliance as it seeks to make USDC the safest and most trusted digital dollar. Circle recently received its Major Payment Institution license in Singapore and is eyeing growth in Asia, where there is significant demand for digital dollars.
