Ethereum core developers agree to add EIP-7251 to Electra upgrade

Ethereum core developers have agreed to add the EIP-7251, also known as the Maximum Effective Balance or MaxEB, to the Electra upgrade, which increases the maximum effective balance and allows validators to hold between 32 and 2,048 ETH. Currently, validators with a balance exceeding 32 ETH are not activated and do not receive proof and validation rewards. With the increase in rewards, validators can now earn consensus layer rewards for balances exceeding 32 ETH. Any balance exceeding 32 ETH will be reduced.

This update also minimizes the required number of validators and reduces the operating costs of large coin producers. Core developers are also considering adding EIP-7547 to the Pectra upgrade.
