June 30 (Cointime) - Cardano enthusiasts are preparing for the final phase of the blockchain's decentralization with the implementation of Voltaire. The protocol governance scheme for Voltaire, which includes an innovative on-chain governance mechanism, has been shared by Input Output Global (IOG), the development entity behind Cardano.

The scheme, called "Minimum Viable Governance," outlines three categories of voters with proportional voting power based on ADA staked or SPO role. The inaugural version of the new Cardano Improvement Proposal (CIP) can be submitted by any ADA holder, and each group of voters must reach specific threshold rules for their votes to be evaluated.
