Apple Inc has reportedly lowered its sales estimates for its upcoming mixed-reality headsets by about two-thirds, according to Bloomberg News. The company had initially hoped to sell around 3 million units annually, but has now reduced those estimates to about 1 million, and then to 900,000 units.

The mixed-reality headset, which can overlay digital objects on a view of the real world, is expected to be Apple's next major product and is set to be presented at a developers' conference on June 5. The headset is expected to cost around $3,000.
