Chipfy Receives Investment from MiraclePlus, SuperWeb3 Serving as Financial Advisor

Validated Project

High-End Chip IP Design Service Provider

Chipfy, a leading chip IP design company, is pleased to announce the successful completion of its seed funding round from MiraclePlus. The exact amount of funding was not disclosed. The capital raised in this round will be instrumental in accelerating product development and facilitating market entry.

Chipfy’s core team consists of semiconductor fabless design veterans, cryptographic technology experts, distributed system architect and professionals well versed in privacy computing and the semiconductor supply chain. The team possesses top-notch domain expertise derived from their educational and professional experiences from Harvard University, Academia Sinica, National Taiwan University, RealTek and MediaTek. "We hope to leverage cryptographic technologies and the strengths of the engineering community to provide high-end chip IP design services that are in great demand, but can't be efficiently supplied in the current semiconductor supply chain." said Joseph, Founder of Chipfy.

"The demand for privacy technologies worldwide has consistently increased. Nevertheless, it is crucial to carefully consider compliance with local laws and adapt to commercial realities. Tailored technology stacks must be developed when implementing these technologies to address real-world challenges." said Spencer Fan, Founder of SuperWeb3. "Chipfy team has strong professional connections with the IC design and semiconductor manufacturing ecosystem. It has both the expertise and the ability to build a commercially viable platform, interfacing between the engineering community and clients in a rapidly growing market. We feel honored to be a long-term supporter of Chipfy and look forward to more collaborations in the future."

Chipfy’s initial development plan is to focus on providing chip IP design services for High Speed Interface PHY (PCIe | XSR | 10G Ethernet), ADC, Display Driver and Sensor Controller.

  • Thai regulator to crack down on deceptive cryptocurrency ads

Cryptocurrency advertisements that contain false, exaggerated, distorted, concealed, or misleading information violate Thai regulations. Regulatory agencies in major cryptocurrency markets have also taken similar measures to minimize investment losses in cryptocurrencies. For example, the UK Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) issued 450 illegal cryptocurrency advertising alerts in 2023 alone. In addition, in November 2023, the Spanish National Securities Market Commission, the main securities market regulatory agency, condemned fraudulent cryptocurrency asset promotion activities on X and reiterated the company's obligation to comply with local laws. The Thai Securities and Exchange Commission reminded cryptocurrency exchanges to include appropriate warnings about investment risks and to avoid attracting new users through special promotions. He warned that violating the above guidelines would result in "legal punishment".

  • EU member states prepare to enforce landmark crypto law, MiCA

The European Union is set to enforce MiCA, a crypto law that mandates national regulators to license and supervise service providers. While the regulation is EU-wide, countries can implement slightly different technical standards that crypto firms must adhere to. MiCA's specialized rules for stablecoin issuers will take effect in a few months, followed by licensing and other requirements for crypto firms broadly in December. Each jurisdiction must transpose the EU regulation into local law, select which of their regulators will oversee crypto, and prepare to authorize token issuers and other service providers. Regulators are facing challenges in implementing the new legislation, particularly in terms of licensing requirements, and each country's crypto industry has its own concerns about implementation and proposed laws.
