On November 3rd, security company ChainLight disclosed that its researchers discovered a soundness bug in the ZK circuit of the zkSync Era mainnet on September 15th, and reported it on the 19th. The bug could potentially drain all tokens passed through cross-chain bridges, allowing malicious provers to generate proofs for invalidly executed blocks, which would be accepted by the verifier smart contracts on L1. Matter Labs has deployed a fix for the issue and awarded ChainLight 50,000 USDC as a reward.

Intmax, a Layer 2 network project based on zkRollup, has announced the completion of a strategic financing round and the launch of the "INTMAX Wallet" digital wallet. LD Capital, KX, GMO web3, and Kepple Africa Ventures participated in the funding, with the amount undisclosed. In addition, Intmax stated that its mainnet will be launched in the first quarter of 2024.<br>According to Web3 asset data platform RootData, Intmax has completed a $5 million seed round of financing, with participation from HashKey Capital and others.

ZkDay, a conference focused on zero knowledge-proof (ZK-proof) scalability solutions, will take place on November 13 in Istanbul, Turkey. The conference is hosted by the Manta Network, Polychain Capital, nil; Foundation, and Cointelegraph. <br>

"Antminer ANTMINER" announced that Bitmain plans to launch Aleo Antminer. Aleo uses ZKP technology and is a full-stack programmable blockchain privacy network.

October 20th, the Starknet ecosystem DeFi protocol zkLend officially launched on the mainnet, with new features including inputting multiple calls, supporting more assets (including wstETH), and improving contract security. The contract has been audited by Nethermind Security. As previously reported, zkLend completed a $5 million seed round of financing, led by Delphi Digital, with participation from Alameda Research, Three Arrows Capital, Starkware, MetaCartel DAO, Amber Group, and Genesis Block Ventures.

The public chain world is ever-growing. While inflows of users and liquidity bring usage activity and transaction volumes, block space becomes increasingly scarce and valuable. This makes the narrative of a super blockchain network for application-specific chains appealing.

On October 13th, Layer2 technology research and data website L2BEAT announced the launch of the Build Your Own Rollup (BYOR) tool. BYOR is a simplified version of a sovereign Rollup that makes the code easy to read and understand. Currently deployed on the Holesky testnet, BYOR can perform functions such as fee sorting, sending and retrieving state to/from L1, removing invalid transactions, viewing account balances, sending transactions, and viewing transaction status.

ZK rollup Scroll has launched its mainnet. According to the Dune Analytics dashboard, as of today, about 370 ETH (worth $565,000) has been bridged to Scroll. It is reported that Scroll has not yet confirmed whether they will launch their own token.

While there are a lot of projects working on using zero-knowledge proofs to scale and improve blockchain infrastructure or dApps, most of them are built on Ethereum.
