MetaMask has discovered an attack on the Ledger Connect Kit and advises users to stop using dapps. Before executing any transactions on MetaMask Portfolio, users should ensure that Blockaid functionality is enabled in the MetaMask Extension. The MetaMask Portfolio team is working to resolve this issue and has prepared a patch that will be released today.

MetaMask announced on social media that it has partnered with several payment platforms in different countries to support cryptocurrencies. These countries include VietQR and Mobile Money in Vietnam, GCash in the Philippines, QRIS in Indonesia, Thai QR in Thailand, Vodafone Cash in Egypt, and Webpay in Chile.

Additionally, the new version includes UI and experience improvements, better application interaction, updated communication capabilities, bug fixes, and performance optimizations.

Services of the Trust Wallet application have been downloaded 56 million times on iOS and Android globally, making it the most popular cryptocurrency wallet on mobile devices. Its competitor, MetaMask, ranks second with 43 million downloads. According to Data.ai, Trust Wallet has been downloaded approximately 8.5 million times in India and 3.5 million times in Pakistan, followed by MetaMask.

MetaMask has announced that its Gas API is now open to all developers through Infura. The Gas API is an advanced tool for web3 developers that enables them to effectively estimate and optimize the gas costs of their blockchain applications. This API is a multi-chain optimization tool that provides real-time gas pricing, improving transaction speed and cost-effectiveness. This public beta provides early access for developers to use a single API key to optimize blockchain transactions on multiple chains, improving cost and efficiency, and providing feedback to help the development team improve the product.

On November 21st, MetaMask released version 7.11.0 for its iOS mobile platform, enabling token exchange functionality on the Linea network. It also improved performance when using applications with an SDK and resolved some bugs.

On November 20th, it was announced by the decentralized content distribution and social protocol RSS3 that the MetaMask social snap RSS3 Social Notifier has been created. This will allow MetaMask users to connect to all on-chain social data (such as Lens and Farcaster) and synchronize their existing social graphs. Users will receive notifications directly through MetaMask and be able to follow their friends' latest activities in a human-readable format. Currently, RSS3 Social Notifier is still waiting for final approval and listing by MetaMask, but users can try it out using the MetaMask developer version, MetaMask Flask.

On November 15th, MetaMask announced on social media that they have resolved an issue in MetaMask Mobile Application v7.9.0.

On November 8th, MetaMask released version 7.10.0 for their iOS mobile app. The updates include: introducing SDK connection + signature process, enhancing network incoming transaction view, integrating EIP-6963 Provider, supporting zkSync Era in Swaps, displaying IPFS banners, improving UI and user feedback mechanisms (such as blockaid banners and handling of duplicate contact addresses).
