Nethermind and Flashbots propose Rollups-based PBS

According to an official blog post, Nethermind and Flashbots have proposed an "Alternate PBS" based on Rollups, which allows MEV revenue generated by Rollups to be obtained by the Rollup itself, rather than being paid to the proposer of the sorting chain. Alternate PBS also solves another problem related to stealing Rollup blocks. Without careful construction, proposers of the sorting chain can observe the basic Rollup blocks built by unsuccessful Rollup builders and rebuild these blocks for themselves. This allows sorting chain proposers to receive the value of building blocks without the cost of building (only copying).

former co-founder of Flashbots launches Telegram trading robot Alfred

Stephane Gosselin, former co-founder of Flashbots, has launched a Telegram bot named Alfred for executing token swaps on Ethereum. The bot aims to facilitate user-friendly token swaps and prevent the maximum extractable value (MEV) profits from reordering trades. Gosselin, now CEO of Frontier Research, collaborated with research firm Kolibrio to develop Alfred, which not only prevents MEV in social messaging app interfaces but also provides advanced trading tools for users. The team behind Alfred is considering various revenue models as the bot does not have a dedicated token and may charge service fees for trades executed through the bot in the future.
