Technology entrepreneur, philanthropist, and co-founder of multinational technology giant Apple, Steve Wozniak, has criticized Elon Musk, billionaire CEO of Tesla and also owner and CEO of Twitter, for failing to fulfill the promise to launch self-driving cars.

The promoter of cryptocurrencies dubbed TruthGPT Coin and Elon Musk AI Token is being issued cease-and-desist orders from several state regulators, including Texas, seeking to crack down on scams looking to capitalize on the growing discourse around artificial intelligence. 

The Texas State Securities Board has reportedly issued a cease-and-desist order against a supposed AI-based cryptocurrency token that uses Elon Musk's image without his consent. The token, called "MuskCoin," was allegedly being marketed as an AI-based investment opportunity that leverages Musk's image and social media activity to generate returns. The Texas authorities have warned that the MuskCoin token is unregistered and therefore poses a risk to investors. The order is part of a broader crackdown by regulators on fraudulent and unregistered cryptocurrency offerings.

Animated avatars and images of Elon Musk, Changpeng “CZ” Zhao, and Vitalik Buterin are being used to promote the two tokens.

On Wednesday, Texas State regulators demanded the termination of an “Artificial intelligence investment scam” that promoted TruthGPT Coin using fake animated avatars and images of Tesla and Twitter CEO Elon Musk to dupe would-be investors.

Elon Musk, escalating his battle with media companies, suggested he may strip NPR of its Twitter handle because it had stopped tweeting.

The native token of blockchain project Cult DAO, CULT, surged over 70% shortly after a mysterious tweet from Elon Musk containing the same name. Musk's previous comments have caused price swings in digital assets such as Dogecoin and Floki Inu. Despite not revealing what he meant by the tweet, CULT's price spiked in a matter of hours.

Binance.US has added FLOKI to its list of supported coins, which enables users to trade FLOKI against USD and USDT on the platform.

By offering a pay-per-article option, users can choose to read an occasional article at a higher price without the need for long-term commitments.

Twitter’s former CEO Jack Dorsey openly criticized Elon Musk’s leadership of the company.
