The Central Bank of Argentina has taken a new measure in its quest for securing the usability of cash as a means of payment in the country. The bank has announced the issuance of a new 2,000 peso bill, which comes to simplify the task of paying with cash for goods and services in the country.

The governor of Ireland’s central bank has called for legislators to ban crypto ads aimed at youth, according to a Reuters report dated Jan. 25.

According to a Jan. 18 report from Spain-based news outlet Cinco Días, the Bank of Spain gave the green light to Monei to issue its EURM token as part of a testing phase expected to last between 6-12 months. The sandbox was aimed at establishing a controlled testing environment for financial innovations projects in Spain under the supervision of central bank authorities.

The government will also work to establish a safe regulatory environment for stablecoins.
