Bankrupt crypto lender Celsius received court approval to extend its exclusivity period — the time when it maintains the exclusive right to submit a Chapter 11 reorganization plan — to Feb. 15.

Mike Novogratz-led investment firm Galaxy Digital Holdings has won the bidding to buy GK8, an institutional digital asset self-custody platform owned by Celsius Network — pending court approvals and certain closing conditions. According to a Dec. 2 blog post from GK8 and a press release from Galaxy, if the acquisition goes ahead, Galaxy will acquire the platform's nearly 40-strong team as part of the deal including cryptographers and blockchain engineers and the GK8's team office in Tel Aviv. Galaxy Digital has won the auction for GK8 – a crypto custody platform to be sold as part of bankruptcy proceedings for the insolvent crypto lender Celsius.

Celsius’ customers that disagree with the company’s scheduling of claims filed in the Schedules of Assets and Liabilities now have until January 3rd, 2023, to file their claims.

According to court filings, creditors of Celsius have until 5 pm EST,&nbsp; 3 January 2023 to file any claims. This covers all persons and entities, including individuals, partnerships, corporations, joint ventures and trusts.&nbsp;

The ongoing case of the Celsius bankruptcy continues as the United States Bankruptcy Court in the southern district of New York State approved a new filing deadline.
