Avalanche Cortina 15 has been released, adding support for Experimental PebbleDB and more

Patrick O'Grady, the engineering director of Ava Labs, posted on the X platform that Avalanche Cortina 15 has been released. This version (V1.10.15) is backwards compatible with V1.10.0. It is optional, but recommended to use. - Key features of the release: Experimental PebbleDB support, BaseTx support based on P-Chain, and MerkleDB memory optimization. - Compatibility check: Virtual machine interface (V30); "database.Manager" has been removed in Cortina 15. The corresponding support in the virtual machine interface has also been removed. Avalanche Blockchain Explorer Tool Snowtrace.io to Shut Down Etherscan-Powered Website

Snowtrace.io, a popular blockchain explorer tool for Avalanche (AVAX), will be shutting down its website on November 30, specifically the explorer powered by Etherscan's Explorer-as-a-Service (EaaS) toolkit. The Snowtrace team has advised users to save their backup information before the shutdown date. While the reason for the shutdown was not explicitly stated, some speculate that it may be due to Etherscan's service fees for its EaaS toolkit. Phillip Liu Jr., head of strategy and operations at Ava Labs, confirmed that the protocol is not ceasing operations and is "moving onto something better."
