Because of latency and packet-loss problems, no ITSP to date carries a significant portion of packetized voice traffic over the Internet. However, Tierra's MicroPOP™ and PicoPOP™ gateways are able to successfully contend with the operating realities found on the congested public network. Our software performs two critical functions: IP packet loss replacement and real-time repathing. With this advanced switching platform, we can effectively carry toll quality voice traffic on the Internet, placing us well ahead of the competition.
