Take A Look At The Winning Projects of The Ethereum San Francisco Hackathon

Cointime Official

On November 7, the Ethereum San Francisco Hackathon announced 13 winning projects: mundo, FuelScape, BB3 – BEEP3R, DAOCensus, melo vault, Org3, UNIC, ZK Section 9, Decentral Couch, Cambria, Swallow, Peekaboo and Snapchain.

Here’s a quick look at the winning projects of the Ethereum San Francisco Hackathon:

mundo

Mundo brings cross-chain to carbon tokenization tools. ReFi represents the new frontier of web3 in terms of audience and impact. Projects such as Toucan & Klima have paved the way by bringing liquidity to the carbon market, but that liquidity is entirely concentrated on Polygon. This means that bridging becomes a bottleneck for expanding the on-chain carbon market, and bridging to another chain will only further disperse the liquidity of already low-capacity assets. Putting carbon credits on the chain is only half the battle. Enabling true cross-chain utility and interoperability of these assets opens up a whole new wave of use cases for ReFi.

Mundo leverages Hyperlane as a settlement layer to increase direct and induced demand for this growing asset class. Mundo not only allows users to purchase carbon credits from any EVM chain on Polygon, but also supports deactivating those credits to obtain certificates. As the ReFi ecosystem matures across multiple chains, Mundo gives every asset holder on the EVM chain access to a broader on-chain carbon market.

FuelScape

FuelScape leverages the scalability of the Fuel VM execution layer to combine RuneScape Classic gameplay with decentralized blockchain game state.

Players can associate wallets with their player name. Each project type represents a different NFT, similar to the ERC1151 standard on the EVM. The token’s chain state is synchronized with the game state, and when a player logs in, his inventory is retrieved from the chain state and his wallet is locked for transfer. During the game, his on-chain inventory is updated in real time. When the player exits, his wallet is unlocked and his inventory remains available outside of the game.

This allows for powerful expansion of the gaming ecosystem using third-party applications. Possible use cases range from marketplaces and loyalty programs to production mechanisms.

BEEP3R

BEEP3R takes us back to the 90s with the fun of having pager equipment and the original vision of the twttr-text web.

Text 205-883-8339 to mint your own BEEP3R NFT in seconds.

Anyone with BEEP3R can broadcast messages to other BEEP3R owners and/or send encrypted DMs to other wallet addresses via XMTP. Users who opt in will receive SMS notifications for any incoming unread messages.

BEEP3R is a dynamic NFT that will also present all the latest broadcast news in real-time on Opensea and other NFT marketplaces. Therefore, you can see messages from your friends and other BEEP3R owners directly in the NFT.

All private DMs are sent using XMTP, and the Lens protocol will be used to store all publicly broadcast messages. The goal of BEEP3R is to get users to use these messaging tools in a fun and simple way.

DAOCensus

DAO tools that enable DAOs to deploy and host decentralized front ends.

DAOs are becoming more popular, but lack tools to manage dApps and communities and some key features such as updating the front-end or back-end of dApps. Currently, most dApps are hosted centrally and managed by a small number of administrators. These issues go against the main concepts of the DAO and limit their development.

That’s why DAOCensus built an architecture to decentralize the dApps front-end update process.

melo vault

Instantly launch on-chain multisig for the entire community of NFT holders via semi-anonymous voting.

MeloCafe allows you to deploy a governor contract for any NFT collection that the holder anonymously controls. NFT holders vote semi-anonymously on the actions taken by this governor contract. Proposal creators create proposals on-chain, collect signatures privately off-chain, and use ZK proofs to prove that they agree with NFT holders to execute proposals on-chain. Proof of ownership of NFTs is proven off-chain using Ethereum Proof of Storage and NFT holders are authenticated using ECDSA signatures, enabling the entire community to vote on proposals without a public vote (only the proponents can see the votes).

Org3

The project is an ENS subdomain-based access control web3 organization management tool that has several advantages over state-of-the-art token gated access control.

Benefits & Innovations: Intuitive organizational tree structure, decoupled wallet addresses, admin control, and access control mean it’s safe, cheap, and easier to get – no need to make and distribute tokens/NFTs!

Product features: Automatically generate visualization of ENS subdomain tree. Interactive smart contract interaction with organization tree updates. File access control based on the subdomain namespace.

UNIC

UNIC protects creators with encoded invisible signatures, providing users with identity verification that allows NFTs to be scanned across the digital spectrum and in the physical world.

Decentral Couch

Help crypto natives find shelter while traveling. It aims to be as decentralized as possible by leveraging decentralized storage and messaging, pluszK identity, and badges. Payment escrow is done using smart contracts. Decentralized dispute claims between guest and host. Disputes and insurance claims are handled by a panel of arbitrators agreed upon by the guest and host, and the contract is flexible enough for most court models, such as the Kleros court or Gnosis Safe-based voting.

Cambria

Cambria is a real-time Metaverse simulation of on-chain activity on DeFi and NFTs, mirroring every user of popular dApps and protocols as an avatar in a 2D virtual Metaverse world. These avatars can be thought of as “booths” that interact with contract functions, move in and out of on-chain sessions (represented as navigation in and out of the main game area), and move between protocols and chains in real time. Cambria’s vision is to recreate the real-world space and bring together the DeFi traders, degens, NFT community in a persistent gaming world that evolves in tandem with blockchain.

ZK Section 9

Generate concise ZK proofs for content generation machine learning models; Use ZKML to prove that AI-generated content is real.

Swallow

The Swallow project helps non-engineer users to build custom shortcuts to transactions and custom widgets for on-chain data using no-code.

Try to solve the following 3 problems:

It is difficult for non-engineer users to perform complex transactions and query data on-chain.

There are a lot of DApps available, and they are implemented by all several sites.

Graph, Dune, etc. are great tools for developers, but still difficult for non-engineers.

Peekaboo

Peekaboo is an NFT blind auction built on Ethereum/Optimism. Bids are sealed using asymmetric encryption, where keys are revealed by resolving a verifiable delay function (VDF). The key is issued on-chain to end the auction. This allows anyone to reveal all bids after the auction ends. Only one reveal is needed on the chain, which is to announce the winning bid. Compared to existing NFT auctions, Peekaboo auctions have lower amortization costs and a more seamless user experience.

Snapchain

Snapchain builds a permissionless, peer-to-peer network to seamlessly create and manage temporary blockchains. The solution enables developers, creators, and enterprises to launch blockchains with an indicated time to live (TTL) that deletes itself when it expires to best suit a specific application or use case, saving cost, processing power, and storage capacity.(By CoinYuppie)
