2/ On Ensemble, artists mint artifacts from their creative process, presented within stories about their work.
Artifacts can take many forms – storyboards in movies, studies in art, sketches in design, to name a few.
Often, these are called ephemera in the art world.
3/ As our methods of creation have shifted from physical to digital means, so has the nature of our artifacts. (below is a digital sketch by @bryanbrinkman)
4/ In order to give our new artifacts materiality resembling their real world predecessors, they are minted as digital objects on the Ethereum blockchain. (below is an early generative test output by @steviepxyz)
5/ In November, we released the first version of our platform. Artists like @bryanbrinkman, @0xStardrop, and @mitchellfchan minted the platform’s first artifacts, woven together with stories about their creation process. (below are pose studies by @mitchellfchan)
6/ Next week on April 5th, we’re launching the upgraded Ensemble platform, featuring a story and never-before-seen artifacts by @_deafbeef.
7/ In our new digital world, we believe more strongly than ever in the value of unseen work from the creative process, grounded in storytelling, told from the view of the artist’s themselves.
Ensemble will power these stories over the coming decades.
8/ Thank you to the artists, collectors, and friends who have helped us reach this stage.
We look forward to continue creating alongside you.
