Uniswap's community has rejected a proposal to switch on a fee for liquidity providers. The vote, which closed today, saw 45% in favor of no fee and 42% in favor of a fee equivalent to 1/5 of pool fees across Uniswap V3 pools.

Over 40 million UNI tokens participated in the vote. Concerns around possible tax and legal implications if a fee switch is implemented remain an issue, with some suggesting the need for a programmatic flow of funds to reduce tax risk.
