StepStone Group's VC arm raises $96.5 million for blockchain-focused private equity funds

StepStone Group's venture capital arm has raised a total of $96.54 million for two blockchain-focused private equity funds, according to filings with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. The funds were first disclosed in June 2021, but the sales figures were only revealed in amendments released on Tuesday. StepStone VC Blockchain I, L.P. raised $71.2 million from 100 investors, while the Cayman Islands version raised $25.3 million from 41 investors. StepStone VC now has over 30 funds, and these are the first to have a crypto-related name.
