OpenAI Improving Chatbot's Math Skills to Reduce AI Hallucinations

OpenAI has announced that it is working to improve the mathematical problem-solving abilities of its chatbot, ChatGPT, in order to reduce instances of AI hallucinations.

The latest version of the chatbot, GPT-4, was launched in March but has struggled with generating false information, also known as "hallucinations." OpenAI has warned users not to blindly trust the chatbot's information and has released a dataset of process supervision to encourage further research.

The company is exploring the impact of process supervision in other domains beyond mathematics.
