A study by the Blockchain Research Lab in Hamburg suggests that the launch of OpenAI's ChatGPT had a positive impact on cryptocurrency assets related to artificial intelligence. ChatGPT quickly gained popularity, reaching 100 million monthly users by January 2023. The study found that AI-related crypto assets saw average price increases of at least 10.7% and 35.5% in the one-month and two-month periods following the launch. The researchers attribute this to media hype and public sentiment, as well as ChatGPT's educational capabilities. Meanwhile, cryptocurrency assets unrelated to AI remained stagnant during the same period.
