Feature.io Develops Interactive Web3 Car Racing Experience, Lollipop, with NFTs and Polygon Blockchain

Feature.io, a Los Angeles-based entertainment studio, is developing an interactive Web3 multimedia car racing experience called Lollipop. David Ayer, writer and executive producer of "The Fast and Furious" and "Suicide Squad," along with Chris Long, producer of "The Tax Collector," are attached to the project.

Lollipop will be built on the Ethereum scaling network Polygon and will involve Polygon-based NFTs, or digital collectibles, combined with episodic streaming, gaming, and professional sports elements. While details of the project remain under wraps, Feature.io founder and CEO Steven Ilous stated that Lollipop aims to pioneer future experiences through a hybrid media approach, built for how audiences consume content these days.

Despite the negative stigma surrounding the acronym "NFTs," Ilous explained that Lollipop will involve digital collectibles, a streaming narrative component, and gamification. Polygon Labs President Ryan Wyatt called the project "truly pioneering" and praised Feature.io for spearheading the future of storytelling and utilising Polygon blockchain technology to create a completely new type of media.
