Developers of the Fantom blockchain have announced that they will reward projects that contribute to high gas fees and network usage. Eligible applications will receive 15% of the gas fees they produce, providing developers with additional income. This move is part of the "dApp Gas Monetization Program," which aims to reduce Fantom's burn rate and redirect more network fees to applications building on the platform. The gas monetization program is expected to retain developers, support Fantom's network infrastructure, and benefit in-demand applications. Some projects have already benefited from the program, with Stargate Finance and SpookySwap earning significant amounts just hours after its implementation.
