Dream Sports co-founder Harsh Jain appointed chairperson of IAMAI, bucking tradition of giving top roles to Big Tech executives

The Internet and Mobile Association of India (IAMAI) has appointed Harsh Jain, co-founder and CEO of Dream Sports, as its new chairperson. This decision breaks from the tradition of giving top roles to executives from big tech companies, which had received criticism from Indian startups. Rajesh Magow, co-founder and group CEO of MakeMyTrip, will serve as the Vice Chairman, while Satyan Gajwani of Times Internet has been appointed as the treasurer. The appointments were made following an internal election and come after IAMAI faced criticism for its alignment with big tech on regulations and policies.
