China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) has released the country’s first national standard for blockchain technology, aiming to accelerate development of the emerging industry.

The standard provides a basic and universal guide for the application and industrial development of the country’s blockchain technology, standardizing the functional architecture and core elements of the blockchain system.

The move further accelerates the standardization of China’s blockchain industry and paves the way for its high-quality development, according to an official at the MIIT.
