ApeCoin (APE) is an ERC-20 token used to govern the ApeCoin DAO. Holding any amount of APE qualifies the holder as an ApeCoin DAO member. Members create and vote on ApeCoin Improvement Proposals (AIPs) that encompass Ecosystem Fund distribution, governance rules, partnerships, and more. Third-party developers can incorporate APE into their respective projects.

On November 1st, according to Scopescan monitoring, a whale address released 1 million (1.33 million dollars) APE tokens from pledge and transferred them to Binance 2 hours ago. It is worth noting that this address bought and pledged APE tokens 4 months ago when the price was $2.2. If sold on Binance today, this transaction would confirm a loss of 40%.

According to the Snapshot page on October 20th, ApeCoin DAO community has initiated a proposal to "reduce the salary of special committee members by 50%" (from 20,833 ApeCoin per month to 10,417 ApeCoin per month), which will end on October 26th. In this proposal, ApeCoin DAO stated that this adjustment will apply to all future terms detailed in AIP-137 and AIP-138, and only affect special committee members elected after the implementation of this proposal. From a financial perspective, DAO is expected to save up to 104,165 ApeCoin per month.

According to Snapshot information , the ApeCoin community has launched a new proposal, AIP-252, which aims to create an independent grant fund outside of the DAO.
